Nativity 2013 : United Pangalites - Oman

Muscat, Sep 17: The  Muscat United Pangalites celebrated the Monti fest on the 13th of Sept,2013  at Parkway restaurant  in Ruwi.

The celebration began with an introduction to the day by the compere Wilfred R Pangla,  who conducted the whole program and kept the celebration spirit on throughout the party.






























The prayer session was conducted by LavinaD’sa .Violet Lobo read the word of God and Shaila Machado said the Marian prayer . The prayer of the faithful was read by the children Viola D’costa, Liza  D’sa, Chelsea D’sa, Calvin Machado ,Rianna Lobo and Calida Machado in Konkani. It was followed by the showering of flowers to the bambino of Mother Mary with the song Moryek Hogaolsia .Novem was distributed to the gathering.
Melwin Menezes the president welcomed the audience. A tablue was presented by Prakash D’sa and Lata D’sa . Anil Pernal proposed the Bolaiki. Various games were conducted by  Terence D’Ssouza .

The children Liza D’sa, Sharon D’costa and Chelsea D’sa  danced  to a fusion song of Tulu songs, while Laura D’sa and Cheryl D’sa danced to a Konkani number. Priyanka Mendonca  an upcoming young choreographer exhibited her talents to the  young Konkani song Whistle Maar. While  Evylene D’souza danced to a fusion of Hindi dance numbers. The memento was presented to baby Rosanna  who was the new member in the community and daughter of Steevan and Renita Lobo. Gift packs were distributed to all the children who showered flowers .Traditional Novem Jovan was served on Banana leaves to the gathering . The secretary Shaila Machado proposed the Vote of Thanks  and the program ended with everybody shaking a leg to the Baila dance.
