Mumbai, Nov 22 (MD): Police now believe that the possibility of the incident being a suicide is less and that Raju may have accidentally fallen off the high-rise.

"We recreated the crime scene by throwing a dummy from the 27th floor. It landed in the same spot where Raju was found. If Raju had been pushed with force, he would have landed on the road outside the building," said a police official, on condition of anonymity.

'I met Raju'

Meanwhile, the police said that three days after the incident, a person had come forward claiming he met the deceased minutes before the fall.

"The boy met Raju while the latter was seated at the window of the 27th floor apartment. He asked Raju why he was seated there, to which Raju replied that he was catching some fresh air," said a senior police officer from Oshiwara police station.

"Raju also asked the boy if there was a mobile network connectivity issue in the building, after which the boy went his way. It is a little difficult to believe the boy's statement, as he has come forward three days after the mishap. We are probing all angles," added the police officer.

Police said that when they briefly questioned Raju's family members, they told him he was not depressed, and that had no reason to commit suicide. The police are, however, yet to officially record the statement of Raju's wife.
