Karkala, Nov 29: Two students staying in a hostel at Kinnigoli had gone missing on November 22. Among them, one of them has been traced in a train to Chennai while the other is still missing. Sources said that the boys had left the town as they had been caught stealing soft drink bottles from a shop in Kinnigoli.

The missing boy has been identified as Antony Pinto (15), from Niddodi. His friend Royston has been traced and brought back to Karkala.

As per the information obtained, the two were studying in class 10 at a school in Mulky-Kinnigoli and were residing in Kelambettu St John Bosco church hostel in Bola.

On November 22, the two boys left for school in church bus at around 8.20 am. But when the bus reached the school, the boys did not go to their class but instead proceeded to Mangalore railway station from where they caught a train to Chennai. Royston was found sleeping in the train, but Antony was missing.

Growing suspicious about Royston’s behavior, the railway police questioned him. He said that his friend Antony had gone missing.

As the information was passed on by officials, Royston’s family visited Swarnur junction railway station near Kallikote and brought him back.

It is suspected that Antony might have been forcefully taken away by someone or has gone missing on his own.

A case is registered at Karkala rural police station.

Anyone who has information about Antony's whereabouts is requested to contact 9481382831 or 9916336115.

Parents and relatives of the missing are in full of worries and tension, and commenting in a indecent way definitely reflects the type of personality one could easily judge. Daijiworld should not accept cheaper quality comments. The Hope missing child be back to his parents soonest possible time.

You are right Lawrence. For some people, this incident is a joke. They don't know what the parents go through with these kind of incidents. Hope the missing boy reaches home safely.

Just for flicking some cold drink bottles, they might have gotten reprimanded as if they were hardened robbers!! With no near ones to go to confide they might have gotten so guilty that they thought better to run and save their skins!!

Flicking things from shops is very common during the younger days, it is a type of fun for these impressionable kids!!

What about the super rich (even doctors) and highly educated stooping so low as going on shoplifting sprees in many cities malls??

Hope the still to be founded gets back home at the earliest!!

See Sri Poojary and all those dears who disagree. Let me explain my viewpoint...
    1.Two boys missing...right?
    2. Their parents and relatives worried .....right?
    3.Anxious and nervous...right?
Now under these circumstances why aggravate situation and cause them more misery by writing 'my heart melts' and my 'belly button stiffens' reading this and stuff like that? You should always try to 'enliven' surroundings like you
not dampen it further by pessimistic outbursts.
And the standard backlashes here are comments like' What would you have done if your son ran away or sister eloped and non-sense like that! So people commenting like this are the all knowing 'puritans' Yeah? Every one has 'bitter' experiences in life don't they? It's only these(bitter) that get magnified in any case! Are all
    happy happenings of all concerned
    aired as news?

No! It's the 'sad things' like these which linger and get reported many a times!
Each may have their own viewpoint
on the incident...For that to criticize and retort like some do is very very childish....For 'Normals' it's a foregone conclusion that one wishes the best for the other and bores no ill will whatsoever.(Everyone wishes the children back 'here' hale and hearty) A 'humor content' here also therefore has to be judged in that perspective and nothing else.

Very sad, My Heart melts on reading this news I can only pray to almighty to give the son back to his parents. A very hard life to parents of the missing children. I hope someone brings good news for return of this child. I don’t think I can bear even just a thought of losing my child.

In the absence of parents or natural guardians, with who the children or adolescents usually communicate, it is very difficult to predict their behavior pattern.

At times they become very curious or adventurous and then land up in grave situations or go with some strangers from where some time there is no return!
Therefore it is very important to establish and maintain heart to heart communication with Children!
