Most of these people who carry gold are poor laborers in Dubai, who carry gold for a free ticket and 25000 Indian rupees. The gold belongs to somebody else.

Thanks to these people, nowadays there is a body screening of international passengers in the Mangalore airport when we disembark too! I wonder how much gold these people might have smuggled at the beginning when there were no sophisticated machineries to detect it.

Isn't it obvious. The wrong policies of government make gold expensive in Indian market and cheap abroad. So is the price of onion, rice, wheat, milk etc.
