Source of water for drinking as well as irrigation is really getting scarce day by day!
We should seriously draw plans and implement water harvesting.
    Not to politicize everything!
For implementing any projects, benefits should surpass losses.
I really do not know entire pros and cons of this project.
But logic is simple, to tide over bigger problems, we should be ready to digest smaller problems.

Here the question is not about sharing water with our brethren, the issue is about diverting a naturally flowing river, which is not only highly expensive, but can have disastrous effects in the long run. We already feel the consequences of deforestation in the region. It is about ecological imbalance it will create in future. Further, you may be aware of the water shortage that people face during summer in Puttur, Bantwal and Belthangady taluks. Anybody can guess why our politicians take such keen interest in such multi-crore projects in the name of development.

I do not give opinion, if I have little knowledge of the subject. I have seen in the court if the lawyer does conduct a proper trial how faces heat from the court. Half knowledge is dangerous. More money is curse.

Moily's election campaign in his KARMA-BHOOMI (chickblpr) will contain Yettinahole Project, which is going to be the death-knell of his JANMA-BHOOMI (Mlr).

But in spite of that he is going to lose.

Who will take the decision of any project. If it is central list central it is central govt. If it is state list state govt or jointly both. Both the central & state has planning commission. If it is passed by planning commission then it was send for approval to the respective cabinet. If the cabinet approves, then implementation. What locals do some are having resource to live and some think if we agitate private parties give money to them is happened in the past. Anyway locals should be taken in to confidence. Why the China made progress, there dictatorship, if anybody opposes the project they will be put behind bars. People asking what MPs & MLAs have a project for their constituency?. They will bring the project, land acquisition is not allowed by the people. In 1947,India was shortage of food. Because hundred of dams, lakes built by Nehru and Indira, there was overall development, they ruled for many years this nation.

When I was in SSLC. we has thatched shed in the main bus stand. See now what happened. The readers of this website, some are religious and some are supporting agriculture only. Of course agriculture is required because hunger has to be removed. Some are working in out of India otherwise their condition is miserable. Even qualified people also working as domestic servant this is the tragedy of our nation.

I am not expert of water resource dept. After independence the govt. has built so many water reservoirs to store the water, which is used for drinking, farming and industry. That is not enough today considering the demand. The govt has to do more. The rainy water, which is sweet water, it should be preserved, the govt should use iron hand, if any, opposition comes to against such project which is large interest of the people. Here people giving an opinion whether they studied water resources?.

Except the last few summer months huge amount of water from the western ghats joins the sea. Some of them make an agenda to spoil lifting of extra water to our own brethren districts of the state. We will not use it...others too should not get any benefit. That's the politics of today. What we are going to lose if sea going water is utilized for some cultivation or quenching the thirst of poor of our state. Prosperity to state!! How many in DK are seriously harvesting today?? some are busy in protest and some are politically motivated. Hardworking and cultivation is declining and bad politics is on the rise! CM has already made it clear only extra available water will be pumped from this project!! Why drama now???
