Mumbai: Shani Mahathma Seva Samithi hold Maha puja

Mangalore, Feb 9: As has been the custom from the past four decades, in association with Tulu Kannadigas of Khaar Poorvada Saidham Housing society's "Sri Shani Mahathma Seva Samithi(R)" celebrated the '47th annual Shaneeswara Maha Puja' in grand on Saturday, February  8 at the
Sri Shani Mahathma Seva Samithi(R), Saibaba road, Jawaharnagar Pahelwan Chal, Mumbai.

The Maha Puja was performed in the morning and in the ministry of Nagesh G Suvarna Ganahoma, Sri Satyanarayana mahapuja, Kalasha muhurtha, Mangalarthi and various religious puja was performed and 'prasada' was distributed.

Under the guidance of Ravindra Hejmaadi and Vimala Ravindra the whole ceremony was grand. As part of the programme, there was Shaneeswara Grantha Parayana, Bhajans and anna santharpane was held for all.

In this Mahapuja, Seva samithi honourable president, Shridhar J Bangera, president, Shankar K Suvarna, vice-president, Devendra Bangera,secretary, Yogesh K Hejmaadi, assistant secretaries, C N Shetty and Ramesh N Poojari, assistant treasurer, Vinod Y Hejmaadi, Bhoja
C Poojari, Purandardas Shetty, R D Kotyan, Kesari B Amin, Shobha V Kotyan, Prakash S Shetty, Vasu P Shetty, Bhoja B Suvarna, Buvaji R G Kotyan, Narasimha Salyan and others were also present at the ceremony.

Sri Shani Mahathma Seva Samithi(R) will celebrate their 47th annual fiest on Sunday, February 9 at Santa Cruz East, Billava hall, afternoon at 2:30 pm Samithi members' kids will perform a cultural programme, evening at 5 pm; after the formal function Gurunarayana Yakshagana Mandali, Santa Cruz will perform 'Damayanti Damayanti Punar Swayamvara' Tult Yakshagana.
