Indian, Mangalore, how can you point fingers at the Women as " Criminal Minded Women" when so many "MEN " have been caught these days for smuggling gold at Mangalore airport.!!
Where is it written that only men have rights to do what they want to do? This woman must have been used as a " Courier Lady " by someone to transport the gold. How do you know? Please be courteous in your comments, coz do not forget all the men have a " Woman " in life called a " Mother" . Why did you not say similar statement to the men who are involved in these cases?

Over and over happening repeatedly! this issue needs to be taken seriously now. Why gold and currencies are mostly caught at Mangalore? Why it comes in flights originating from Dubai only? Why almost all those apprehended are either from Kasargod or Bhatkal? Authorities should look into whether there is any smuggler-terrorist nexus.

Now this is a height of madness. Even if the passenger swallows the Gold it will be detected in Mangalore Airport. There are some big shots using those poor people as carriages of illegal gold. Gold in the underwear was the last thing we expected. Good job being done by Mangalore Customs Dept.

    Dear Mangalorean Passengers,

There are highly sophisticated advance metal detector/scanners installed in the Mangalore airport customs for baggage and body check which can easily/automatically detect high density metal like gold etc in the bags passing through the conveyor belt scanner as well as handbags scanner. There isn't much intelligence work involved by custom officers. The metal detector / scanner do the intelligence work in Mangalore Airport for gold catching. Don't be fools.

I have already expressed my views earlier with regard to gold smuggle. Something is very strange here. Regardless of which carrier (jet or AI Express) both travelled from Dubai. Also in the past also all the passengers from Dubai only. Why Gold is sold in Dubai only, where there are no other middle east countries or cities, such as Abu Dhabi, Sharjah (these are neighboring towns and gold is sold at the same rate here. Also, there are neighboring countries such oman (muscat), Doha Qatar, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, where gold is sold at the same price of Dubai. So what is there in Dubai's Gold. Other thing is almost all the passengers who smuggled the gold are from Kasargod. Astonishingly, it our famous Mangalore airport. What is the link between Dubai, Kasargod, Mangalore airport and customs.

I strongly believe there is something fishy. It is very clear that, authorities are trying to divert common man to elsewhere also they too have hand in gloves. Otherwise, such things are repeatedly happening, impossible to believe and hard to digest.

Gold smugglers were increasingly using the Mangalore Airport since two three months. The smugglers have been trying every other tricks. But cannot escape from the customs officer. Due to rising gold prices and add to it the duty smuggling will definitely go up. But where these recovered golds are going ?
