Ailing actor Ambareesh on way to Singapore for treatment

Bangalore, Mar 1 (DHNS): Veteran actor and Housing Minister M H Ambareesh, who has been admitted to Vikram Hospital in the City for the past one week, will be shifted to Singapore on Saturday for further treatment.

According to sources in Vikram Hospital and sources close to Ambareesh, he will be airlifted to Singapore at 3.30 am on Saturday. Minister for Health and Family Welfare U T Khader had sought the Union government’s opinion about shifting Ambareesh to a Singapore hospital.

Tamil superstar Rajnikanth who visited Ambareesh on Friday had advised Sumalatha Ambareesh to shift him to Singapore.

On Home Minister K J George’s request, Union Health Minister Gulam Nabi Azad had directed Dr Randeep Guleria from AIIMS, New Delhi, to assess the health of Ambareesh. Dr Randeep reached Vikram Hospital on Friday morning and addressed the media after evaluating the actor-minister. He said: “All his vital organs like lungs, kidneys and heart are functioning well. However, the weaning of ventilation will take some time.” He added that the family would take a call on moving him out. “At the moment there is no need to shift him to Singapore. It all depends on the discretion of the family,” he added.

The condition of 61-year-old Ambareesh is said to be improving. His level of consciousness and hemodynamics are improving. His ventilator parameters are stable and the process of weaning is being continued, according to Vikram Hospital doctors.

“His condition is being continuously monitored by a team of doctors, in consultation with experts,” they added.

61-year-old Ambareesh (also called Whisky Guru in Blr’s Gandhinagar and Kanteerava Studios) is a billionaire with multiple farm houses in Karnataka and estates in Malaysia. It is a pity that the ‘socialist’ CM led Congress-I govt pulled overnight strings in Delhi to ensure all this pot bellied actor/housing (BDA/MUDA/real estate) minister’s bill amounting to hundreds of crores for medical and 7-start (Mount Elizabeth Hospital) lodging fees in Singapore, is paid by the poor taxpayers!

One wonders if we still have anything called PIL in Bangalore?

Perhaps the Blr chapter of AAP will use such glaring extremes, open abuse of power and injustice to the full extent.

Dinesh, it is sad and painful to glance over your comments. you are exhibiting your negativity, the shallow thinking, blind of party ideology, and hatred towards others, those don't support BJP and RSS which would be bad for the society. Whatever may be thinking objectively without biased, certainly help to develop India. I am also a Hindu, I Know RSS and BJP may be better than you it does not mean that i need to heat Muslims, Christians, and congress party, JD etc. it is important to have a depth dimension in our thinking to create Ek Bharat, Shrest Bharat.

Why such a hue and cry for comments from Dinesh? Dinesh Poojary is absolutely right here. Why tax payers money should be used for treating Ambareesh? Ambareesh and politicians have lot of wealth, but when it comes to medical treatment, they use taxpayers money. This is the naked truth. I don't find any objectionable content in Dinesh comments.
