Mumbai shame: Teenager molested, nearly stripped by gang in Kandivali

Mumbai, Mar 12 (Agencies): The concerns regarding crime against women were raised again on Tuesday when an 18-year-old girl was allegedly molested by a group of men in broad daylight in the city's Kandivali area.

Mumbai, considered to be a safe city for women, took a hit when the girl was allegedly groped by men and nearly stripped.

According to reports, the girl was attacked on Tuesday afternoon when she was arguing with an auto-rickshaw driver over fare.

The men allegedly surrounded her and started harassing her. Though she managed to escape from the scene, the men continued to chase her and manhandle her. She was later rescued by a beat constable.

Four of the accused men have been arrested. Two of them could be minors, said police.

    Those auto drivers misbehave with women, their licence should be cancelled. The law should be much stricter to protect the women and children.

    There are many arrogant/indecent auto drivers who are required to be disciplined by RTO and should be taught Road Manners and how to treat the women and children passengers. Though the meters are digital the rates vary quite often and the auto driver will never agree for his mistake and to make the matter worst the auto drivers will form their own gang and make a stop to discharge the passenger around that area

    It's too much. I am asking the parent of these men, what are they doing? Secondly, why the State Govt. sleeping on this? Thirdly, do everyone respect a woman/Girl/Sister/Mother and Mother in law?

    In the name of freedom of expression, we are allowing anything and everything to be accessible in our social media.
    Numerous porn sites can be easily accessible in India. A couple of years back, I wanted to know about Sunny Leone and I googled. It lead me to at least 50 porn sites.I have maturity but think about those who are immature!! With the introduction of new smart gadgets it became much easier for the youngsters to access anything and everything.
    Finally, we should be ready to see the end result.India is gradually becoming a sex starved country.
    We need to develop some norms and restrictions at the earliest in the society before we end up as a Banana Republic(we are in the making already)!!!
