Bhatkal, Apr 2: Uttar Kannada Congress MP candidate Prashant Deshpande conducted a road show on March 31 at 3:30 pm here in the city. The rally began from Shamshuddin Circle and culminated at Asarkeri Temple Hall passing via Bhatkal town.

Speaking on the occasion, Prashant said, “Congress has brought about  many developmental projects in the state within a short period of nine months.

He concluded saying, “I am not the sole candidate in this election, you (people) too are fighting this election; religion should not be mixed with politics, but each one should be proud of their religion.”

He visited Bailur, Soradhole temple and Alve Kodi temple and held a road show at Shirali.

Later he visited Katagar, Satyanarayan temple and the Nastar Dargah.
