Mumbai, Jun 19: Bollywood's comedy king Paresh Rawal has turned singer in his latest film, Yun Hota To Kya Hota, which is actor Naseerddin Shah's directorial debut.

"I had to convince Paresh to do the singing. When we were recording the song, he was nervous and was getting it all wrong. My assistant told me to go out of the studio and in my absence, Paresh got the right tune. Maybe, I was making him more nervous," recalls Shah at the music launch of the film in Mumbai on Saturday.

The film's music is by Viju Shah. Though the album has nine tracks in total, only two are original film tracks. But even these two songs have been used either as background or theme songs. The film as such is basically songless.

"None of the characters sing these songs. All of them have been used in the background to go with a particular theme or a situation in the film," says Shah.

The film releases on July 21, a day after Shah's birthday.
