Bhopal, Jun 22: The Madhya Pradesh State Women's Commission is likely to issue a notice to Balaji Telefilms' Creative Director Ekta Kapoor over the objectionable negative shades of female characters in TV soaps such as Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi.

''The notice will be issued after a soon-to-be-convened meeting of the Commission's members. The body took suo moto cognisance of the matter,'' Chairperson Relam Chouhan told UNI.

Admitting that the series also depicted ideal women, she said each of the soaps had at least one conspiring female who sowed seeds of disintegration in the family. ''It is true that people have good and evil shades but in Indian culture and tradition, family ladies have prestigious and respectable roles"  Chauhan said.
