Mumbai, Jun 25: No, no one is remaking L.V. Prasad's Kamal Haasan-Rati Agnihotri hit Ek Duuje Ke Liye. Not to our knowledge at least. But producer Anjum Rizvi [Ahista Ahista] has signed Deepak Shivdasani to direct and Sikandar Kher to enact the lead role in a film called Ek Duuje Ke Liye.

"Let me clarify, the title is the only common factor between the 1980s hit and our film. We aren't remaking the film at all. Our story is completely different from the one that starred Kamal and Rati," Anjum states, putting to rest all rumors.

"It's a love story and I think Sikandar fits the role to the T. We haven't finalized the love interest -- the leading lady -- yet. But we hope to finalize the cast in a few days from now. We are planning to launch the film by August-end," he adds. Nishikant Kamat has penned the script.
