30 killed in Congo conflict


Kinshasa, Jun 8 (IANS): At least 30 people were killed Saturday in attacks following a dispute over cows in Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), a local official said.

The victims, including women and children, were shot, stabbed or burned in houses, the official said on condition of anonymity, Xinhua reported.

He said people from diverse tribes were involved in the conflict in South Kivu province.
