Bangalore, Sep 20: The Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) executive committee, which met in Bangalore on Satruday, asked all the ministers in the Siddaramaiah government to "show visible improvement" in their performance by expediting implementation of schemes.

The executive committee meeting held under the chairmanship of KPCC President Dr G Parameshwara, took note of the complaints against a few ministers over their non-performance or poor performance during the last three years and wanted all ministers to pull up their socks and to aggressively work and deliver the services to the people.

The KPCC president warned the ministers that the party would constantly review their performance regularly.

Housing Minister M H Ambareesh has been told to steps to ensure construction at least three lakh houses a year.

Houses would be allocated to eligible beneficiaries. It was decided to conduct a survey of houseless households across the State.

Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, several Ministers and KPCC office-bearers attended the meeting and took stock of issues that have been affecting the image of the State Government.

It is learnt thatSiddaramaiah presented his views and left the venue early for scheduled meetings with officials in the State Secretariat.

The meeting decided to complete the process of appointment of chairpersons, directors and members to all government-owned boards and corporations by first week of October.

All district in-charge ministers have been instructed to constitute statutory committees such as Ashraya Committee, Aradhana Committee, land tribunal committees before first week of October.

The State Congress has decided to mobilise party workers to a function where Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate a mega food park, Integrated Food Park Private Limited (IFPPL) at Koravahalli, is about 25 km from Tumkur town, on September 24.

This would be the Prime Minister’s first official public function in Karnataka after he becoming the prime minister.

Though one Congress MLA opposed presence of the party workers at the function, Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee president G Paramehswara and Chief Minister Siddaramaiah appealed to party MLAs and workers to present in large number at the function, sources in the Congress said.

The Chief Minister has reportedly told party leaders that the political scenario has changed after the BJP’s defeat in by-elections held to various assembly constituencies in several states.

The BJP has already made elaborate arrangements to mobilise its party workers during the visit of Modi in Tumkur.

The executive committee meeting of the KPCC condemned BJP President Amit Shah’s statement on "free Karnataka from Congress" in Bidar three days ago.

The president of the party and the CM need to work in one voice which is perhaps missing in Karnataka. The high command need to intervene and initiate the corrective steps without giving scope for further deterioration.

Rama Rama Paramesha….indeed there is no visible development then how can your Minister show any visible or invisible improvement…. Rather I would say, Paramesha trying to remove some Ministers so that his supporters can fill the vacant posts including him too. Regarding deploying CONGiss Party Workers at PM NaMo’s function…who wants your Party Cadres presence over there? Rather NaMo and BJP would be happy if they don’t see any CONGiss workers

KPCC asking Ministers to show visible improvement in performance is LIKE PERFORMANCE APPRAISAL IN CORPORATES.
Improvement need not be VISIBLE, if it is truth.
Performance appraisal system should be put in place in Govt. because in future elections will be won on the basis of performance and NOT ON CHARISMA of their leader. Perform or perish!
People shouldn't pamper politicians, they are paid for the job, money which goes from peoples pocket.
When they don't deserve, if we pamper them, then they will become lethargic, we are responsible for that.
Vote them again if they perform. If not don't vote them, we need not hate them also!
