New Delhi, Sep 27 (IANS): A court here Saturday granted bail to Bhushan Steel vice-chairman Neeraj Singhal, accused in the Syndicate Bank bribery case.
Singhal was arrested Aug 7.
The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) Special Judge Swarna Kanta Sharma granted bail to Singhal, CMD of Prakash Industries Limited Ved Prakash Agarwal and co-accused Pankaj Bansal.
The court directed them neither to tamper with the evidence and nor to delay the ongoing proceedings in the case.
The judge asked them to surrender their passports before the court.
The other arrested accused, including Syndicate Bank chairman-cum-managing director S.K. Jain, are currently in judicial custody till Sep 30.
The CBI had arrested Jain Aug 2 for allegedly taking Rs.50 lakh in bribe for raising the credit limit of some companies in violation of the banking rules.
