Mercedes-Benz India's sales up 13 percent in 2014


Mumbai, Jan 2 (IANS): German automobile manufacturer Mercedes-Benz India Friday reported an increase of 13 percent in its yearly sales during 2014 which stood at 10,201 units.

The company sold 9,003 units in 2013.

“We have recorded the highest ever sales in the history of Mercedes-Benz in India till date. In 2014 we witnessed a strong demand growth for our products, leading to long waitlist on some of the key products," said Eberhard Kern, managing director and chief executive, Mercedes-Benz India.

"Our aggressive product strategy saw 10 new launches, coupled with our strategic network expansion strategy which witnessed a record 14 new outlets inaugurated."
