Infant Jesus Feast-2015 held at Alangar

Moodbidri, Jan 12: It is with great pomp and delight Infant Jesus Shrine, Alangar, Moodbidri celebrated its annual Shrine Feast on January 11,2015. The celebration began with distributing the honours to the donors. Dr Aloysius Paul D’Souza, (Bishop of Mangalore) was given a solemn welcome who thereafter presided over the festal Eucharistic celebration. The sermon was preached by Fr Clifford Fernandes, who exhorted that the experience of Jesus should not remain as mere devotion but should help us to reach out to the poor and the needy.

The whole campus was crowded with thousands of people. After the mass all were served meals. Two poor families were given financial assistance.



















































35 priests and hundreds of religious were also present. The Bishop in his message appreciated the faith of the people, growth of the shrine and organization of the volunteers.

State Minster for Youth and Fisheries Abhaya Chandra Jain, Bahubali Prasad, and several Muncipal councilors were present. Fr Basil Vas, parish priest and shrine director proposed vote of thanks.
