Hockey India inducts Khalsa Hockey Academy


New Delhi, Feb 12 (IANS): Hockey India (HI) Thursday inducted Khalsa Hockey Academy as their new academy member.

Part of the Khalsa English High School under the Board of Management of Gurudwara Bara Sikh Sangat, the academy has produced more than 300 players since its inception.

“It is a proud moment for us as we welcome on board our 10th academy member. With their history of producing hockey players since inception, Khalsa Hockey Academy matches our efforts of ensuring that such talent are identified and motivated to make it big in the game. I am sure our association will help us recognise more such talent who can aim for the international arena from here,” HI president Narinder Batra said.

HI currently has 22 permanent, 27 associate, 10 academy and two Hoc-Key members.
