Mumbai, February 20: The Model Co-op Bank held its customer's meet for Andheri, Borivli, Fort, Mahim, Malad, Mira Road and Vasai branches at Hotel Kohinoor Continental, Andheri on February 13, 2015.



















Albert W D’souza, chairman, William Sequeira, vice chairman, founder chairman John D’silva and directors, Vincent Mathias, Paul Nazareth, Lawrence D’souza, Pius Vas, Ronald Mendonca, Lazarus Menezes, Philip Pinto, Thomas Lobo, Benedicta Rebello and Abraham Lobo graced the occasion.

Harold M Serrao, general manager welcomed the guests. Albert W D’souza- chairman delivered the key-note address and briefed the customers about the genesis of the bank and the present financial position urging the customers to support them in achieving a target of Rs 750 crores to reach scheduled status. He informed the customers that the bank is on a growth path and that they had received 3 new licences for Andheri-West, Dahisar-West and CBD-Belapur branches. Francis Vaz, general manager presented the bouquet of products and services offered by the bank.

Founder chairman John D’silva, emphasized that shareholders and customers are the owners of the bank and they should take keen interest in its working. The bank has grown and is providing multiple services like ATM’s, SMS alerts, personalized cheque book services etc. He stated that all should support the bank in surpassing the Rs 750 crores deposit in their centenary year 2016.

The chairman invited suggestions and constructive criticism from the audience with a view to improving the bank’s services.

The function was well attended by over 250 guests. Several customers appreciated the personalized services of the bank’s branches and congratulated the staff for quick paperwork and disbursal of loans. Customers suggestions with regard to maintaining similar timings for all branches, reduction in rates of interest for housing loans, commencement of online banking as also cash delivery at the customer’s office, starting of a branch at Vasai West, organizing branch-wise customer meets were put forth.

William Sequeira vice chairman replied to the various suggestions made.

Vincent Mathias addressed the gathering and informed that the bank will be in its 100th year in 2016 and made a special appeal to raise deposits so it could apply for scheduled status to coincide with the centenary celebrations. William D’souza, general manager proposed the vote of thanks.
