Karnataka Konkani academy to hold 'Sahitik sanz' in Mumbai

Mumbai, Mar 2: Karnataka Konkani Sahitya Academy, under the department of Kannada and Culture Mangaluru, is scheduled to hold a Konkani literary and cultural programme 'Konkani Sahitik Sanz' at St Francis
Institute of Management and Research, Borivli West, Mumbai on March 6 at 4 pm.



The literary sessions of the programme will consist of short stories in Konkani by Dr Edward Nazareth, humour articles in Konkani by Cyril G Sequeira, Konkani theatre by Lawrence D' souza and Konkani poetry by Ancy D' souza, Palladka.  Sheela Kolambkar and Francis Olivera will be the moderators.

The poetry session will be conducted by well known Konkani poet Nery Nazareth.

The cultural programme will consist of presentations by Bindas Pernal, Udupi. Konkan karavali songs will be sung by well known comedy troupe Ester Noronha, Ryan D' souza, Antony Tauro, Jerry Bondel and
Roicy Sequeira.  Dances will be performed by Advitiya Dance Company, Mumbai.

The programme will be compered by Stany Serrao, Carren Vas, Jerald D'souza and Vittori Karkal.

Fellowship dinner will be served to all, said the organizers.

Alert W D' souza, chairman, Adel Education Trust, will be the chief guest. Guests of honour are Suguna Kamalaksha Kamath, convener, Saraswath cultural center, Dahisar, John D' silva, president, Konkani
Bhasha Mandal, Francis Fernandes Cascia, legendary dramatist, Fr Franklin D' souza, national youth director, ICYM and Dr B Devadasa Pai, registrar, Karnataka Konkani Sahitya Academy.

The programme will be chaired by Roy Castelino, president of Karnataka Konkani Sahitya Academy.  Ancy Paladka is the coordinator of the programme.
