Mumbai, March 12: Karnataka Sangha, Mumbai in cooperation with Kannada department of culture,Bangaluru held tenth literary cultural conference at Karnataka Sangha's Dr Vishweshwaraya hall.

In the achiever's award ceremony, Billavara Association Mumbai honorary president, Bharath cooperative Bank executive president and Karnataka Rajotsava award winner for 2014, Jaya C Suvarna was felicitated by conference president, senior littérateur of the land Boluvaru Mohammed Kunhi.

The annual achiever's award was presented to Billavara Association Mumbai mouthpiece 'Akshay', monthly honorary editor M B Kukyan and artiste Diwaker Shetty Kandivli by Boluvar Mohammed Kunhi.

In the discussions held in the morning, R G Halli Nagaraj, Bengaluru spoke on the limitations of the freedom of expression and the fate of cultural terrorism. Dr S C Raj Ahmed Shivamogga spoke on real reasons for national communalism and the dreams of harmony. In the second session, Vimala K S Bangaluru spoke on the search of borderline between beliefs and superstitions. Dr Varadesha Heergange Manipal spoke about the real reasons for international terrorism and the dreams of world peace.

Karnataka Sangha honorary secretary Omdas Kannangar welcomed. Dr Bharath Kumar Polipu compered the programme. Vice president Srinivasa Jokatte proposed Vote of thanks. As part of cultural programme,Manoranga Bengaluru troupe enacted 'Leelanthya', a Kannada drama written and directed by Arun Moorthy.
