Bangalore, Feb 20: Kannada filmactress Radhika’s house in Banashankari III Stage here was raided by IncomeTax sleuths on Sunday night. Highly placed sources in the I-T department told Deccan Herald that they seized over Rs 3.5crore of cash and undisclosed income worth Rs 8.5 crore from her house.

The raid continued for several hours. The actress however said that this wasnot the case. “They cameover to my house at around10:30 pm, and asked me to present documents pertaining to my accounts. Theywere here for over five hours, and once they were convinced that nothing wasamiss they left,” she said,adding that she was surprised to see the sleuths at her doorstep initially.

“I regained my composure immediately and welcomed them in. These days it is a common thing for the IT to pay visits to homes of artistes,” she said. On an average she made between Rs 8 lakh and Rs 10 lakh from each film, she claimed. Radhika, who has acted in films like Ninagagi, Taayi Illada Tabbali , Mandya , Tavarige Ba Tangi, resides in Banashankari with her parents and elder brother. She is presently shooting for Amruthavani and Eshwar .

Rumours about the actress having bought a Rs 16 crore house in Dollar’s Colony have been making the rounds. “I did buy a house there and I am getting it renovated. But I haven’t paid Rs 16 crore. I do not remember the exact location as I visited the house just once. It is 100x100 feet in dimension and has five bedrooms,”she added.
