Mangaluru: Mandd Sobhann's 'Sumell' Konkani Singing Club inaugurated

Mangaluru, Apr 6: 'Sumell', a Konkani Singing Club of Mandd Sobhann was inaugurated on Sunday April 5 at Kalaangann in Shaktinagar here.

Mandd Sobhann president Louis Pinto inaugurated the Club by symbolically presenting a baton to 'Sangeet Guru' Joel Pereira, the chief trainer of the Club.

Other trainers Melwyn Peris and Anil Patrao were present on the dais. As part of the inaugural ceremony, the participants presented a song.


160th Monthly Theatre

Mandd Sobhann's 160th monthly theatre programme, 'Sangeet Tsunami' a musical show by Rony Crasta (Kulshekar) and Anthony Tauro (Mumbai), was presented at Kalaangann, on the same occasion.

Sangeetha Balachandra, Lizzie Fernandes, Preeti Lopes, Leedia Rodrigues, Josma D'Souza, Sunil Monteiro, Rynel Sequeira and Denzil D'Souza presented various songs composed by Rony Crasta and Anthony Tauro.

The singers were accompanied by the scintillating dances by Nach Sobhann.

Jude Noronha compered the show.


'Moga Savlli' CD released

'Moga Savlli', a Konkani CD produced by Dilraj Rodrigues and Roshan D'Souza was released on the occasion by Joel Pereira.
