Udupi, Mar 30: Nagarjuna Protest Committee has appealed district administration to stay the on-going Nagarjuna work in Yellur, Palimar areas near here.

The request was made through an appeal submitted to Padubidri police has stated that Nagarjuna has been continuing its work in Yellur, Nandikur and nearby areas illegally.  "But it is startling that the police as well as the administration has not been taking any action against neither the company nor the labourers," stated the appeal.

The committee has also demanded that the persons involved in the work should be arrested if there is no information about the on-going work in the Padubidri police station.  "How can Nagarjuna continue its work, if they have not secured any permission from Padubidri police," committee questioned.

Office-bearers of the Committee Lakshman Shetty, Vijay Kumar Hegde, former TP member Navindchandra Shetty were also present on the occasion.
