Mangalore, Mar 31: A Volvo air-conditioned bus will begin operating from here to Pune from Saturday March 31. The service has been started by the city division of Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC).

A press release stated that the bus will reach Pune via Udupi, Kundapur, Bhatkal, Kumta, Yellapur, Hubli and Belgaum and the ticket will cost Rs 850 per head.

The bus will depart at 5 pm and reach Pune at 6.30 am the next day.

Tickets can be booked in advance at the KSRTC Avathar booking centres here, the release stated.

Reservation from Pune can be done at Natraj Travels, Shukravarpet.
