Mangalore Mar 31: ‘Manthana-2007’, a state-level seminar on managing people was organized by Srinivas Institute of social work on Friday March 30.

Devananda Shetty, DGM of Syndicate bank regional office in his address said that the art of management is nothing but the art of winning people.” To be a effective manager one has to keep in mind four aspects, namely, sensitivity towards others, always willing to help others, acquiring vast knowledge so that one is always consulted and finally the leader should be good as a person," he added.

A Shama Rao foundation president, A Ragavendra Rao, D Shashikala R Rao, the foundation secretary, P S Aithal, the principal and I C Liciyamma, MSW coordinator were also present on the occasion. 

Students of St Aloysius College, M V Shetty College, Shreedevi College, Alva’s college, Mangalore University, Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Karavali College and others participated in the seminar.
