Mangalore, Apr 1:
The third day preparations for Brahmmakalashotsava and Nagamandala were on full swing. The Ashtabanda Brahmmakalashotsava and Nagamandala in Sri Durgaparameshwari temple will be held on Thursday April 5 and Friday April 6.

 

  

Contributions (Horekanike) from various parts of the district and around are reaching the temple. Breakfast, lunch and dinner will be served to the people throughout the day in Bhojanalaya during the grand event. Hundreds of volunteers have been pressed in action to ensure that the ceremonies are held systematically.

  

 

A religious seminar was held on March 31 at Brahmari Vedike. Dr K Chennappa Gowda of Mangalore University spoke on worship.  “In our country people have a special attachment to their mother tongue and their culture. Indian culture also welcomes all types of religion and worship,” he said.

 

  

Vedamurthy Anantha Padmanabha Asranna of Kateel Temple, Vinaya Hegde, President of NITTE Educational Trust, MLA J Krishna Palemar, Chairman, AJ Hospital and Research Centre A J Shetty, President of Brahmakalashotsava Samiti Nalin Kumar were also present at the occasion.
