Mangalore, Apr 1: Dr D Veerendra Heggade, Dharmadikari, Shree Kshetra Dharmasthala inaugurated the third Graduation day of Yenepoya Medical College (YMC) at its campus in Deralakatte on March 31.

He spoke on the occasion and said that education like meditation wherein a person sacrifices worldly pleasures and concentrates on acquiring knowledge.

Health consciousness has creped into people’s lives and thus the medical profession stands out to be a field which caters to this requirement.

Addressing students Heggade advised them to love their profession and serve people with integrity thus establishing a reputation and character pleasing to all.

Ninety one graduates of 2001 MBBS batch received the certificates from Dr Heggade. Dr M Sudhakar Shetty, Assistant Dean and HoD Department of Medicine administered the oath to the graduates.
 
Yenepoya Abdulla Kunhi of the Islamic Academy of Education, Dr R N Sujeer YMC principal and Dr Mohammed Kunhi Department of Medicine were present on this occasion.
