Mangalore, Apr 13: A mobile unit of Nandini milk parlour was launched by the Dakshina Kannada Cooperative Milk Producers Union (DKMU) at Kulshekar here on Thursday April 12.
Speaking after inaugurating the mobile unit, deputy commissioner M Maheshwar Rao lauded the efforts of DKMU in providing quality milk to its customers and said that the mobile unit will enhance the value of DKMU.
The mobile unit will supply Nandini products such as milk, curds, butter milk, ghee and milk sweets etc and will be stationed at key areas like Kadri Park, deputy commissioner’s office, Kankanady, Mangaladevi Temple, MCC office premises and Panambur beach where Nandini milk parlours are not located.
Based on the response from Mangaloreans, DKMU will start a similar mobile unit in Udupi shortly.
Those who were responsible for setting up the mobile unit were honoured on the occasion.
The mobile unit will give easy access to people and will soon be launched in other taluks as well.
DKMU president Kaup Diwakar Shetty was present.
