Mangalore, Apr 13: Akshara Dasoha employees staged protest in front of the deputy commissioner's office asking the fulfillment of various demands on Friday April 13.

The employees have been demanding the state government to implement the order regarding an increase in their remuneration.  Providing future service security and other service benefits have been among their demands too.

They protestors took out a rally from CITU office to deputy commissioner's office.  Akshara Dasoha Employees Association president Padmavati S Shetty who addressed the protestors criticized the government for neglecting the demands of the employees.  "We do not have any service benefits such as holidays, labour security, provident fund etc and we are being asked to work continuously," she said.

CITU leaders Vasant Achary, Association's state secretary Leelavati, district secretary Yashodha, Ramani Moodbidri also addressed the protestors.

Raita Sangha leader Abraham Karkada, DYFI leader Muneer Katipalla and others were also present at the protest rally.
