Udupi, Apr 14: District Hindu Yuva Sene president Yashpal Suvarana has resigned from his post on Friday April 13.

Sources said that he has taken decision as per the directives given by BJP leaders as he is intending to contest for the town council elections either from Malpe or Volakad wards. Hindu Yuva Sene vice-president and nominated member of town council Chinmayamurthy has been given the additional charge if Hindu Yuva Sene.

One could recall that during the last assembly elections Hindu Yuva Sene led by Yashpal Suvarna had opposed Raghupati Bhat. But in the later days, his rival candidate Sudhakar Shetty had joined Samajvadi Party.  But Raghupati had managed to bring Hindu Yuva Sene and Yashpal in particular close to BJP fold.  He had even recommended the latter for the post of nominated member of town council.
