Mangalore, Apr 15: Flt Lt Ronald Kevin Serrao memorial inter Parish cricket tournament was inaugurated at Holy Cross church grounds of Kulshekar on Sunday April 15 morning.
Mangalore City Corporation Mayor Vijaya Arun declared the tournament open. Later she assured that, 1% of the Mayor fund will be reserved for sports activities.
Dr Jessica Serrao, mother of Flt Lt Ronald Kevin Serrao was the guest of honour of the occasion.
Fr Lawrence D’Souza, parish priest of Kulshekar church welcomed the gathering. Roy Castelino, convener of the tournament proposed vote of thanks.
A total of 24 teams of different parishes of the Diocese are participating in the tournament. The tournament will conclude on 29th April.
