Germany beat Cote d'Ivoire 10-0 in women's World Cup

Ottawa (Canada), June 8 (IANS): Germany beat Cote d'Ivoire 10-0 in the women's football World Cup here.

The twice winner of women's World Cup did not show any mercy to the African team which participated in this game for the first time on Sunday, reports Xinhua.

The score of 10-0 is the second-most lopsided win in the event's history. Germany nearly reached the record made by themselves when they beat Argentina 11-0 in 2007.
