Karkala, Apr 20: A person was brutally stabbed in broad day light at Bajagoli of Mudar village on Friday April 20.

The deceased has been identified as Mithun Shetty aged twenty two.

The heinous act took place at 10.20 am in front of the Prabhu Restaurant here. It said that a certain Suresh Madival murdered Mithun. Suresh was absconding but not for long until the Karaka rural police station cops pinned him down.

Suresh was arrested near Uppinangady at 5 pm. It is said that personal rivalry was the reason for the murder. A case has been registered in the Karkala rural police station.
