Udupi, Apr 21: Former chairman and managing director of the Corporation Bank and the ex-chief executive of the ING Vysya Bank, K R Ramamurthy has been selected for the prestigious K K Pai National Banking Award 2006-07.
This was announced in a press release issued by secretary of K K Pai Trust Dr K K Ammannaya.
The press release further stated that the award is recognition of his immense contribution to the banking industry and providing transformational leadership wherever he worked.
At present he is a consultant for the banks in India and other developing countries. He is also the consultant for IMF, World Bank and International Finance Corporation. He is a member of the steering committee, constituted by the SEBI for the proposed national Institute of Securities Market.
The Award presentation ceremony will be held here later this year.
