The Karnataka Development Front Government had presented two budgets since it came into existence. Both the budgets had many good schemes for the welfare of the people such as the Suvarna Gramodaya Yojane and distribution of bicycles to students belonging to weaker sections. There were no irregularities in the distribution of bicycles as alleged by some Congress leaders. If the Congress provided any proof of irregularity, a probe would be launched into it, Mr. Acharya said.

MLA Raghupati Bhat said the distribution of title deeds to the fishermen at Malpe was an achievement of the BJP and not the Congress as claimed by the latter.

BJP district unit president Kota Srinivas Poojary, BJP leaders Katapady Shankar Poojary, Gujjady Prabhakar Nayak, and Baikady Suprasad Shetty were present.
