Mangalore, Apr 22: The office of a recruitment agent near Pumpwell circle was ransacked by a group of people on Saturday April 21 evening.

The reason was that he had allegedly duped them by assuring them of employment in the Gulf and collected huge amounts from each of them.

One Shaji from Kerala had been functioning from his office near Pumpwell circle had promised them of visas. They even travelled to Mumbai for the purpose of flying to the Gulf. It was only there they came to know that the promise of visas was a hoax.

Furious at being cheated, they attacked the office . The cheated persons said Shaji had collected abour Rs 60,000 from each of them and in all he had cheated them of Rs 25 lac.

A complaint has been filed against him in the Kadri police station.
