Rain halts play again

Fatullah (Bangladesh), June 12 (IANS): Rain halted play once again in the second session of play on the third day of the lone cricket Test between India and Bangladesh at the Khan Shaheb Osman Ali Stadium here on Friday.

India scored 25 more runs after lunch to reach 423/3 when the skies opened up again. Opener Murali Vijay was batting at 150 not out with Ajinkya Rahane at 74 not out.

Following an uninterrupted morning session, showers just after lunch forced the players to stay inside the pavilion after the break.

India were at 398/3 at lunch with Vijay and Rahane (55 not out) at the crease.

Rain had also led to the curtailment of play on Day 1 and washed out the second day's play.
