Mangalore, Apr 23: A young man who had come down from Dubai holidays met watery grave in Phalguni river at Maravoor near here on Sunday April 22.
Taj (18), a resident of Maravoor had gone swimming with his friends to Phalguni river where he drowned. It is said that he was pulled to the deep by whirlpool about which he did not know. Though his friends try to rescue him, they could not.
Taj was the son of Mohammad Basha of Maravoor. He was living in Dubai with his parents. It was only a couple of months ago that he had come down to his native Maravoor along with his father.
Bajpe police have registered a case in this regard.
