Mangalore, Apr 25: A meeting will be held to implement the demand of the Rajender Sachar Committee report at the DC’s office on Thursday April 26.

Addressing the press persons Akhila Bharata Beary Parishat president B A Mohammed Haneef said that committee appointed by the Central government of seven members has submitted its report on November 17 2006, but has yielded no results.

Mandal committee has submitted its report on 52 per cent of total population 35 per cent are Hindu and the remaining 17 per cent will form other community. The Beary community must be included in the OBC category, he stressed.

Mohammed said that reservation should be ensured for the community, and reservation must be replaced by representation in order to avoid the abuse of the term.

Parishat treasurer Mohammed Haris, secretary Abdul Azeez Haq, vice-president Hameed Ashraf and member Nazeer Ullal were also present on this occasion.
