Udupi, Apr 25: A Protest was held on Tuesday April 24 at Katpadi seeking repair of fisheries road from Katpadi to Mattu near here.
Protest was organized by Katpadi Rickshaw Owners and Drivers Association, Adarsh Auto Union and a few other organizations. They demanded the administration to tar the entire fisheries road between Katpadi and Mattu.
The protestors did not allow the rickshaws to ply on the road whole day and threatened to intensify agitation if their demands are not met at the earliest.
Adarsh Auto Union president Sadananda Amin honorary president Prem Kumar, Katpadi Auto drivers’ and owners’ association president Rama Amin, noted advocate Sundar Acharya and others were present at the protest.
