Kundapur, Apr 28: A S N Hebbar, who perhaps need no introduction, has been chosen for the highest award given by International Rotary for the year 200-07. He has been chosen for this award by board of director of International Rotary.

ASN Hebbar is known for his Rotary-related activities, skilful presentation of any subject matter with spicy sayings and witty remarks, total involvement in international Rotary programmes.  He is a resourceful person charged with motivating force for the younger generation, a lawyer, a journalist, a social worker and what not; in short a multifaceted person.

He was the centenary Rotary District 3180 Governor and was eligible by all standards for the prestigious “Service before Self Award”.  A journalist with a humane values, a writer with a sharp pen and rejuvenator of a century old local school and temple, Hebbar does deserve this award by miles.
