Mangalore, Apr 28: Labour Unions will observe World Labour Day (May Day) at Town Hall here on Tuesday May 1.
Various competitions have been organized for labourers and their children on this occasion. A musical night too will be held on the day which will bring to fore revolutionary songs written by noted poets.
Reputed thinkers A S Acharya and T R Bhat will deliver lecture on the relevance and importance of May Day and its history.
At the end of the programme there will be a play written by Niranjan will be staged. The play has the story of famous Kayyur protest which was held some 64 years ago. The play will be enacted by Apoorva troupe from Kasargod.
