Zee Kannada Media Release

Bangalore, April 28: The winners of Zee Kannada’s most popular programme ‘Sa Ri Ga Ma Pa’ gets lucky with bumper prizes, a Santro Car, a golden opportunity to cut an audio album with the popular Ashwini Audio,  and gold worth Rs.15,000/-. The runner up also gets a cash prize of Rs.50,000/- and gold worth Rs.10,000.

Out of more than 5000 people who auditioned, 52 young talents from Hassan, Mysore, Hubli, Raichur, Shimoga, Bangalore and other districts of Karnataka have performed and entertained the viewers of Zee Kannada worldwide for the last eight months. Now is the time of anticipation and excitement to know who the one ‘Singing Star’ of Karnataka is.



Based on the SMSs received by the viewers and the judgement given by all the honourable judges on the show, Chinmay of Bangalore and Soumyasree of Chitradurga have reached the finals of the show. The finals of “Sa Ri Ga Ma Pa” is scheduled to be held in Bangalore on Sunday, May 6, 2007 amidst the presence of a huge public gathering and several celebrities from the Music field.

Anup Chandrasekharan, Business Head, Zee Kannada said,” Zee Kannada’s Sa Ri Ga Ma Pa, has not only gained immense popularity in Karnataka, but also in other states and other countries. The over one and a half lakhs SMSs received for one single episode is a testimony for this. This has created a record of its kind in the Kannada television industry”
