Mangalore, May 1: Corporation Bank has awarded gold medal to Pranay Shetty, a student of NITK, Suratkal here for being the best outgoing student of the institute.
The gold medal was awarded to Shetty by Bank chairman and managing director B Sambamurthy at NITK recently, according to a press release.
The release stated that the Bank has been extending financial support to deserving students and in the last fiscal year, its educational loan portfolio has seen a growth exceeding 50 per cent. The gold medal has been awarded in order to inspire other students in NITK to excel.
The ring presentation ceremony was graced by NITK director Sandeep Sancheti while dean VR Shastry, Corporation Bank executive director KL Gopalkrishna and general manager A Mohan Rao were present, according to the press release.
