Galatasaray signs Real Madrid's Rodriguez

Istanbul, July 27 (IANS): Turkey's most successful football club Galatasaray has signed Real Madrid's midfielder Jose Rodriguez for four seasons.

The 20-year-old, who was playing on loan with Deportivo La Coruna last season, will arrive here on Wednesday for routine medical examinations. Monday's deal is expected to be officially announced next week, reports Efe.

According to reports, Rodriguez's contract will be paid an annual salary of 750,000 euros.

Galatasaray is not entitled to pay Real Madrid any amount in exchange for Jose Rodriguez. However, it would be obliged to hand over 50 percent of the sale price if the player is sold to another club over the next four years.
