England pacer Anderson ruled out of fourth Ashes Test

Birmingham, July 31 (IANS): England pace spearhead James Anderson will no longer be a part of the ongoing third Ashes Test here and will miss the fourth cricket Test at Trent Bridge owing to a side strain.

The 33-year-old seamer was forced to go off the field on day two of the third Test after bowling the third delivery of his eighth over on Thursday. Later England established total control over Australia as they were reduced to 168/7 at the end of the day, reports bbc.co.uk.

He took six wickets as the Aussies were all out for 136 in their first innings.

The fourth Test will begin on August 6, while the fifth will start from August 20 at the historic Oval.

The series is presently locked at 1-1.
