Indian swimmers disappoint at World meet


Kazan (Russia), Aug 3 (IANS): Indian swimmers failed to qualify for the semi-finals and final of the three events they took part in the World Swimming Championships here on Sunday.

Saurabh Sangvekar in men's 400m freestyle failed to qualify for the final, finishing at the 60th position in 4 minutes and 2.57 seconds in the heats of the event.

Sandeep Sejwal in men's 100m breaststroke failed to make it to the semi-finals, as he finished the heats in 36th position in 1 min 2.17 seconds.

The Indian team also disappointed in the men's 4x100m freestyle as they could not make it to the final.
