English footballers Phil, Gary bereaved


Sydney, Aug 7 (IANS): Father of former Manchester United footballers Phil and Gary, Neville Neville passed away here on Friday.

Neville was taken ill on Tuesday while visiting his daughter Tracey who is currently coaching the England netball team for the World Cup, reports bbc.com.

England Netball confirmed the 65-year-old died in hospital in Sydney on Friday.

Neville was a former commercial director of Bury Football Club, which said he was here in the city with his wife, Jill, who is also club secretary for Bury FC.

Manchester United tweeted on Friday: "We are sad to learn that Neville Neville, father of Gary and Phil, has passed away. Our condolences go out to his family."
